Faunus, the roman version of pan, is the companion of the nymphs and god of shepherds & flocks.  His lower half being that of a goat represents our barbaric nature or beastial side of our humanity: indulgence and celebration.  The Egyptians, Greeks and Romans often designed their furniture with the legs of beasts, this grounded the pieces to the earth and paid homage to the animal nature in all humans.

Our Effigy Wax Sculptures are exquisite, exceptional works of art, each a timeless treasure to appreciate and admire. Should you choose to burn these sculptures, please do so with caution and care. due to the non-linear shape of the sculpture, the wick does not run from the top to the base.
As with all candles, they may pose a fire hazard if burned improperly. Never leave a burning candle unattended. always keep the wickss trimmed to π of an inch. Please place your Effigy on a sturdy structure that has a heat-resistant surface away from any drafts or flammable material. Keep burning candles out of reach of children, pets or unsafe situations. To prevent damage to persons, pets or surfaces, when alight, each Effigy should be placed on a heat – resistant surface or holder as these sculptured candles will drip wax.

“Like an echo from the caves of coccamaura, i came forth whilst Dierdre wept cool tears” – from a celtic fairy tale. The bust, "Deirdre" was a true collaboration between the two of us. Mr. Little presented Mr. Sellers with the concept of crafting a weeping bust that cried tears of wax. Mr. Sellers sculpted the bust based on a neo-classical inspiration. The functionality of the piece is quite remarkable as the back of the sculpture is carved on an angle allowing for the melting wax to flow through the opening of the eyes.
